The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office has begun sending letters as part of their Unclaimed Property Money Match program, where they automatically reimburse Illinois residents who have up to $5,000 in unclaimed property. Previously, the limit for the Money Match program was $2,000, but recent bipartisan legislation increased that limit.
